The Journey of Three generations [Part 1]..
This year you will eat what grows by itself, and the second year what springs from that, But in the third year sow and reap, plant vineyards and eat their fruit. Once more a remnant of the house of Judah will take root below and bear fruit above. Isaiah 37:30,31
This verse actually is a sign, given to Hezekiah King
of Judah, when he was in great trouble. This is a sign of assurance that whatever
trouble comes God of Israel will plant them. And to make something take roots
below and bear fruit above, God always used three generations. Let’s take a
look at the journey of three generations.
FIRST GENERATION
First generation is a generation that grows by itself. When David was anointed,
God was preparing a lamp that would shine before Him at all times. David had to
face many problems, but he strived in his tests and shone brightly. He did whatever
God desired and received many blessings because of it. First generation is very
important among the three generation because God makes His promise to them. They
are the ones who decide the direction and deepness of their promise. Jeroboam
failed to be the first generation that God desired him to be. For God had promised
him a dynasty as enduring as the one God built for David. First generation has the
permission to do what their heart desires but the ones who follow the heart of God
becomes the winner. If the first generation fails then there’s no second or
third generation.
SECOND GENERATION
Second generation is a generation that springs from the
first generation. Solomon received all his blessing because God loved David. For
instance, 1 Kings 11:34 says, But I will not take the whole Kingdom out of Solomon’s
hand; I have made him ruler of all days of his for the sake of David my
servant, whom I chose and who observed my commands and statues. God blessed Solomon
for the sake of David. Second generation is sort of comforting. First generation
toils very hard to strive, and to come forward. But second-generation kind of
inherits all the goodness. Second generation makes up for all the tribulations
and troubles, the first generation went through.
THIRD GENERATION
Third generation is a generation of their own. They have
to sow and reap. If they do good, they will be blessed. If they do something foolish,
they will have to reap for that. Rehobaom King of Judah, son of the wisest man the,
planet earth has ever known but his very first decision seems to be a foolish one. He is kind
of indecisive. He is in a confused state. Third generation has to sow themselves,
they have to work hard to get the blessing they are supposed to get. They have to
fight all their way to reach up to the expectation of their forefathers.
The three generations really take roots below and they
bear fruit above. Their existence is what really matters. They pave way for
everything. Which generation are you in? The first one who takes up all the
troubles and grows by itself. The second one who inherits all the blessings that
springs from first generation, or the third one who has to fight for their inheritance.
For this three generations belong in the QUIVER OF GOD.
May God bless you all..
