The fragmented revelations of God.

We all wonder about God’s revelation. From the revelation of end times to the revelation of things that God intends to do in our life. Some people find this revelation very simple and easy while some find it very complex. God’s way of revealing things is very different and people’s way of perceiving it, is also unusual. Identifying Jesus as the Son of God and savior is itself a great revelation. Let’s look at some of the ways in which Jesus revealed himself to the people.

Finally they turned again to the blind man, “What have you to say about him? It was your eyes he opened.” The man replied, “He is a prophet.” John 9:17

Jesus’ disciples found a man blind from birth. And they wondered who sinned, that this man was blind. Jesus answered that it was to display the work of God. He spat on the ground, made some mud with the saliva, and put it on the man’s eyes and asked him to wash in the pool of Siloam. This blind man did not see who healed him. Blind man was further blinded by the mud in his eyes. If he was healed there itself, he would have seen the Son of God. But Jesus decided to hide himself from him. Blind man only knew the name of the man who healed him and was not aware of his whereabouts.

People wondered about his healing. Pharisees, priests and his neighbors questioned him on how this miracle happened. He persisted with his testimony of Jesus healing him. His parents were questioned by the people of synagogue. He was unmoved and believed that Jesus was no sinner but a man of God.

Blind man’s understanding about Jesus was not much. He believed Jesus to be a prophet. But this small revelation did not stop him from altering his testimony. There was one man named Peter who was given a revelation from the Father himself about Jesus to be the Son of God. When all his brethren called Jesus to be a prophet, or Elijah or Moses, He was the only one to proclaim Jesus the Son of God. But he failed to acknowledge himself as a disciple of Jesus when a servant girl asked him.

Here we see two people. One was given the perfect revelation whereas the other one got a fragment of the big revelation. But the one with partial understanding withstood the tribulation whereas the other failed. Hence, it is not big revelations that matter but how we respond to God.

Abraham was called to leave his household and country for a land that God would show him. Even with this incomplete revelation Abraham was ready to leave everything behind. Most of the times God does not reveal everything but would show only a fragment or a segment of a big revelation. If we are faithful in that small revelation then there would be a time when God would reveal the whole thing to us. At the gate Damascus, Jesus revealed himself to Paul and said “I am Jesus, whom you are persecuting. Now go get up and go into the city, and you will be told what you must do.” From this small revelation Paul started his journey towards God. But later on, we see how God took him to the third heaven. He heard inexpressible things that no man is permitted to tell. The incomplete revelation will be made complete when we remain faithful.

Jesus heard that they had thrown him out, and when he found him, he said, “Do you believe in the Son of Man?” “Who is he, sir?” the man asked. “Tell me so that I may believe in him.” Jesus said, “You have now seen him; in fact, he is the one speaking with you.” John 9:35-37 Just like how Jesus searched for the blind man when he heard what happened to him. So will He search for those who are given partial revelation to make it complete.

What do you think about the Christ? Whose son is he? “The son of David,” they replied. He said to them, “How is it then that David, speaking by the Spirit, calls him ‘Lord’? Mathew 22:42, 43

In this passage Jesus was trying to reveal himself to the pharisees and others who were trying to question him and seeking a way to find fault in Jesus. They failed to pursue this revelation. They failed to seek that answer. If they had found the answer, they would have realized who Jesus really was. However, this question led them to never ask any question again. Whereas it should have led them to Jesus, Son of God himself.

Hence, don’t worry when your neighbors know exactly what God plans to do in their life and you don’t really know what to do with yours. But follow the partial revelation God gives and never change your opinions based on others’ judgement but be open to change your views when God reveals something to you. Things will become clearer when one is picked by God from the QUIVER OF GOD.

Who do people say I am?

  Does it matter to us what others think about us? If we were to listen to every others perspective about us, then perhaps no one can live on this planet. Generally, people say never get bothered about what others think and say about you. When Jesus came to the region of Caesarea Philippi, he asked his disciples, “Who do people say the Son of Man is?” They replied, “Some say John the Baptist; others say Elijah; and still others, Jeremiah or one of the prophets.”     Mathew 16:13,14 In this passage, it seems that Jesus wants to know what others thought about him. Not that it mattered to him but He just wanted an opinion from his disciples about what others thought about him. Jesus always knew what others thought about him. There were many serious accusations against him. He was called rabbi by some people, whereas some people said he was possessed by Beelzebub. Some said he was just a carpenter’s son. One GOD, Who plays many roles for us..[Part 2]

Almighty GOD, who reveals himself in different roles, in different situation,for different purpose. He plays his part perfectly, be it as a friend for Abraham or a father to Jacob. He is perfect.  GOD wanted to play the role of a king in the lives of Israel. Are you zealous for God..

The zeal towards God defines our relationship with God. People who are zealous for God mostly have a good relationship with the Almighty. Greater the anointing of God greater will be the zeal for God. If one loses the anointing, he will eventually lose his zeal. The zeal that comes under pressure. Standing on the promise of GOD

Let us hold unswervingly to the hope we profess, for he who promised is faithful.                                                Hebrews 10:23 Promises of GOD keeps us motivated to move forward in Christ. A promise that was made by JESUS two thousand years ago that he will return keeps us motivated and we are waiting on him eagerly. A promise can change life. GOD saw Abraham and said leave your household and promised him to make him into great nations (Genesis 12:1,2).JESUS saw Peter and said 'Follow me , I will make you fishers of men.' (Mathew 4:19) and Ta...Da...Peter's life changed . Everytime GOD promised , people 's life changed or put it this way his promises are meant to change people.  Promises are meant to be kept not to be broken. Promise is directly proportional to the faith in the person who promised. Five Senses of a Christian man- Ears hear..

Humans do have five senses with which they try to rule this world. These five senses help them to understand nature and their surrounding and they react accordingly. In our Christian life, these senses can help us to stay closer to God or can drive us away from God.  'Hearing' is one of the senses with which we percieve our surrounding. Most of us would prefer calmer places and would hope to find rest for our ears, or soothing voices that can revive our ears from all the disturbance and  noises we heard in our entire life. This is what happens to a Christian man,  he likes to hear God's voice but the noises that the demon creates confuses him. Ultimately he closes his ears and in his closed ears he hears the noises that the devil created, and he chooses that.  Eve used all five senses to sin. When God remembers His covenant..

We all know our God is a faithful God. We know He will fulfill all His promises and covenants.   But the thing we don’t know and the thing we all want to know is His time in which He will do His things. And the beauty of that time is He will do the things swiftly. God heard their groaning and he remembered his covenant with Abraham, with Isaac and with Jacob. Exodus 2:24 There’s a time when God remembers His covenant. Moreover, the groaning of His people forced Him to remember the covenant made to Father Abraham. When God considers His covenant, people forget to keep their side of that covenant. When Moses was called to rescue the people of Israel. God showed Him some of the great miracles.
