One GOD, Who plays many roles for us..[Part 2]
Almighty GOD, who reveals himself in different roles, in different situation, for different purpose. He plays his part perfectly, be it as a friend for Abraham or a father to Jacob. He is perfect.
GOD wanted to play the role of a king in the lives of Israel. Hence, only judges were appointed but they wanted a Human king who can Lord over them and show other countries that they too have a king. But what they didn't know was that GOD will play the role even if they don't accept it. Hence, When Son of GOD died on the cross a written charge was placed saying 'THE KING OF THE JEWS' , a king (a leader) taking all the sins of his people on his own head and taking the punishment.
My little children, these things I write to you, so that you may not sin. And if anyone sins, we have an Advocate with the Father, Jesus Christ the righteous. 1 John 2:1. Jesus playing the role of advocate.
For both He who sanctifies and those who are being sanctified are all of one family, for which reason He is not ashamed to call them brethren. Hebrews 2:1. Jesus playing the role of brother.
Let us rejoice and be glad and give him glory! For the wedding of the Lamb (Jesus) has come, and his bride(Church) has made herself ready. Revelation 19:7. Jesus playing the role of bridegroom.
Numbers 30:3-8 says; “When a young woman still living in her father’s household makes a vow to the Lord or obligates herself by a pledge. 4 and her father hears about her vow or pledge but says nothing to her, then all her vows and every pledge by which she obligated herself will stand. 5 But if her father forbids her when he hears about it, none of her vows or the pledges by which she obligated herself will stand; the Lord will release her because her father has forbidden her. 6 “If she marries after she makes a vow or after her lips utter a rash promise by which she obligates herself. 7 and her husband hears about it but says nothing to her, then her vows or the pledges by which she obligated herself will stand. 8 But if her husband forbids her when he hears about it, he nullifies the vow that obligates her or the rash promise by which she obligates herself, and the Lord will release her.
Today we don't take any vows instead our 'yes' and 'no' is enough which shows the decision we take. We see that a father and a husband monitors the decision. Yes, our father and our husband Jesus Christ will have the final say in the decisions that we take. Thus we need to surrender ourselves to the perfect will of our father and husband, Jesus Christ.
We know how Jesus commanded one of his disciple to take care of his mother, thus fulfilling the duty of a son. But what we all missed is that Jesus fulfilled the duties of a son to his father David.
King David after defeating Jebusites and conquering Jerusalem resulted in a saying "The 'blind and lame' will not enter the palace."Hence Jesus Christ who carries the key of David would not allow any defective person to enter into the New Jerusalem. But the happy news is ,we can call on to Son of David to have mercy on us and to heal us just as the blind Bartimaeus called on to him and was healed.
Don't forget, he is knocking at the door (Rev 3:20), how will you recieve him, as a King or as a father, or as a friend ,or as some guest whom you expect to be gone after some time. It is in our hands wether to accept him as our Saviour, which is a role he played perfectly.
Don't forget that he will entrust us with some roles that we too need to play for GOD as well as for our brothers and sisters. That is why we remain in the QUIVER OF GOD.
May GOD bless u all..
