Others went out on the sea in the ships; they were merchants on the mighty waters. They saw the works of the Lord, his wonderful deeds in the deep. For he spoke and stirred up a tempest that lifted high the waves. They mounted up to the heavens and went down to the depths; in their peril their courage melted away. Psalm 107:23-26 In this scenario the people are not going in search of any city that they can dwell on, neither they like sitting in darkness nor do they do anything foolish. But here they are going on the sea which is said to be mighty. They are merchants, and they are taking some risks to trade of something valuable. While travelling they saw the wonderful deeds of God. His creation could be seen as they travel on their ship. But when High waves and tempest were stirred, they got into trouble and they made that distress call to God. We are the merchants of God.
